First Steps towards a Career

Transitioning to a potential career is not easy, especially when your first steps toward independence are hampered by a financial burden you can’t afford.  A new student was accepted into a trades program at her high school. Before she could start, she needed a pair of steel-toed work boots as they were a requirement for admittance to the program. The TLC Fund for Kids was able to provide those boots which allowed her to take those important first steps, leading to a new career in her chosen field.
